Ordering Netspace ADSL Q. What payment methods does Netspace have at the moment? A. The current Payment methods are by Credit card or Debit Card. Netspace are working on alternate means of payment.
Q. I have faxed in my Application, how long till im connected? A. This period relies on Telstra more then it does on Netspace. Netspace process your application, then forward it onto Telstra. From there Telstra examines your local telephone exchange and checks if there is a free port available for you, if there is, Telstra enable the service for your line, reply to Netspace, and then your homeADSL service is active. Some people have been lucky and have been connected within days!, unfortunately for some others, it has taken a few weeks to months, I can generally say the waiting period is approximately 2 weeks. It depends on weither your exchange has free ports, and if your line is capable of supporting adsl. Check your Connection Status here: http://www.netspace.net.au/products/adsl/status_check/
Q. What features do I get with my HomeADSL package? A.
Q. How can I order Netspace HomeADSL? A. There are two methods now: By Downloading the application PDF file, or by online form, either way you can order here: http://home.netspace.net.au/.
Q. Does netspace block ports? A. No, Netspace does not block any incoming/outgoing ports.
Q. How will i know if i have line sync? A. There is generally a 'Sync' or 'ADSL Link'** light that comes on telling you whether you have Sync or not. If the sync light keeps flashing you either have not installed the modem correctly, there is a driver error or the line to the exchange may be disrupted. In some cases when ordering, you may get some kind of line sync early, this could be the main setup by Telstra at the exchange but it may also not be complete. When Telstra notifies Netspace that they have completed the line setup, you will be able to fully sync and connect. In some situations, Netspace may not provide you with your login details until Telstra has confirmed line setup. ** Name varies from modem to modem.
Q. Will my status page be updated when telstra complete the connection? A. Your status page is updated whenever new news about your line setup is given to Netspace by Telstra, when the connection is complete, the status page will be updated with this information.
Q. Before I order, I'm Just wondering if the Billion USB/Ethernet Modem (BIPAC711CE) is compliant with Netspace? A. Yes, the Billion ADSL modem is compatible with Netspace's service. Configuration involves installing software which already has Netspace configuration from what I have heard. » Back to Top |
